Frozen Banana Bites in Dark Chocolate & Pistachios
priss | April 24, 2012WOW! I just made the easiest dessert EVER, and you can really impress your guests with this simple, delicious treat. Frozen Banana Bites in Dark Chocolate & Pistachios. Oh I’m happy!

Aren’t they cute?! Not being a huge fan of bananas (I know people have told me I’m crazy!), I never knew frozen bananas would taste so yummy. They mimics the texture of ice creams! Now add on Belgian dark chocolate and some crunchy pistachios…. are you sold yet?

I used my favorite Côte d’Or dark chocolate yet again. Check out my other chocolate recipes! Fruit and Nut Belgian Dark Chocolate Bark, Dark Chocolate Tart with Candied Ginger 蜜餞生薑黑朱古力撻, & Healthy Dark Chocolate Banana Muffins.

You can make these little bites in less than 20 minutes, put them in the freezer, go cuddle with your loved ones, and then enjoy them together a couple of hours later. =p

Frozen Banana Bites in Dark Chocolate & Pistachios adapted from SavvyMom
Ingredients:
dark chocolate ~ 5 oz, melted

bananas ~ 2, chopped into bite-sized pieces

pistachios ~ as much as you like, chopped,

Instructions:
1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
2. Lightly toast the pistachios for 2 mins.
3. Dip each piece of banana into the chocolate first and then dip it into the chopped pistachios. Roll it around to make sure all sides are covered in pistachios.
4. Let the pieces sit on the cookie sheet for 10 mins. Place in the freezer for 2-3 hours.
MmmMmmMmm~~~
The original recipe called for adding oil and milk while melting the chocolate. I didn’t because I want my chocolate coating thick and bold. =p But I have to admit that the oil and milk would definitely make it easier to coat.
ENJOY~
