Afternoon Tea at the Castle ~ Fairmont Hotel Vancouver
priss | February 15, 2012I envy my baby Geneve. She’s almost 6 months and already has a chance to go for high tea at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Haha~ She totally enjoyed her time there. Although she couldn’t eat or drink any of it, she took some naps, played with the strawberry jams from Switzerland, and took a few compliments from other foodies in the room.
Once again, we enjoyed our experience there. The sandwiches and pastries are different from last time, but the tea menu is the same. I tried the Camomile because there’s no caffeine and can make me and baby Geneve calm. =) Beau had the Versailles Lavender Earl Grey. Wow, I could smell its fragrance from across the table, and we know the next time we visit France again we’ll pay a visit to Versailles!
The bottom tier is all savory sandwiches: cucumber sandwich, turn on a super soft piece of bread, smoke salmon pinwheel, and smoke ham croissant. Our favorite is definitely the smoke salmon pinwheel. MMmMMmMmm~ I’m salivating again!
The top tier is the sweets! The scones are fresh out of the oven! WOW… Too good for words. Spread some special fluffy cream cheese and strawberry jam. I can eat that for the whole day! There are also some cream puffs, cupcakes and lemon tarts. The cream puffs were fluffy, but the lemon tarts are too sweet for my liking.
What do we think?
It’s got baby Geneve’s approval! =D We’ll be back… again! =)) Comparing to the T Room and Bakery, Afternoon at the Castle at Fairmont is the classic!
