Today’s ma beloved beau’s birthday. Da birthday boy is so loved that his birthday celebration actually started last Friday! XD
Right, last Friday was da day I had the poker tournament in da office. It was da day when I was placed 1st and won $50 Mastercard gfit card, plus $70 of the pot!!!! Took out a bounty and won movie tickets! Took out ma CEO and got a day off!!!!!!! Muuuuahahhahahahhahahah!!
Anyway, so bo ma, bo ba wanted to take beau out to celebrate his birthday early. Because of ma crazy luck at the poker tournament we were AN HOUR late to the dinner!! Luckily I have the most understanding parents in the world so they were fine with it. =) But poor bo D he was so hungry that his tummy kept going “gurugurugurugurguruguruuuu”. XD We pigged out as usual and bo ba basically let beau have the whole lobster dish. HAHA.
& then bo D got some over-due red pocket moola from ma aunt, and you know what the first thing he said in the car? ”I have some money now and I wanna treat Charles a nice dinner.” WOOAHH!!!! So touch!!! I love ma bro.. he appreciates things and people. Muuuah~
So on the Saturday, it was ma turn to celebrate such a special day with ma belove. We went to Cafe Pacifica at the Pan Pacific for their Italian Opera Buffet. MMmMMmMmm~ Such a unique experience enjoying delicious food and live opera!
Yes, we pigged out again. XD
We had a very attentive server that’s extremely considerate especially when taking pictures for us. They turned out awesome! =D See the opera singer at the back?

The beef carpaccio was OK – I wish there’s a hint of citrus.
The Ahi Tuna was mouth watering! I can finish the whole platter!!!

Main dishes: free range chicken and pan seared snapper with saffron cream sauce ~
Love how tender the chicken is! For the fish, it was a bit overcooked. I blame that on the heater to keep it warm.
The wild mushroom was simply amazing! Nice aroma and smooth texture. MmmMmmMm~
The pasta section where the chefs can make you whatever you’d like from a variety of ingredients. ”Customized pasta creations” as they call it. Toppings include scallops, baby shrimp, clams, mussels, chicken, ham, and pepperoni.

Curl all your hair. Make a ponytail. Separate into top and bottom sections. Twist the top one way and the bottom the other way. Pin. Doll it up with a flower or something. Call it done. =)

For beau’s actual birthday, I have asked him to pick a cake from ma recipe book Baking: 300 Recipes, 2,000 Photographs, 1 Baking Education by James Peterson. Guess what, he picked the most difficult cake in there — Strawberry Bavarian Cake with Raspberry Mirror!!!!!
But I DID IT!!! & man, doesn’t it taste GOOD!!! I’m so proud of maself and beau said it again – “So I just picked a cake, and you turned it into a reality. These is really nothing you can’t do huh!”
Challenges? Bring them on!!! XD
