Romer’s Burger Bar – Best Burgers in Vancouver
priss | September 5, 2010******** Updates ********
We went back last weekend and argh… all of us found that the burgers weren’t as tasty as the 1st time! It always makes me sad to see that restaurants fail to keep up their quality… Aiiiyyaaaa~~~~
Even the garlic fries were blend… =(
Maybe it’s time for me to change the title of this post? =((

I finally know why I kept telling people that “I’m NOT a burger person”! It’s because I’ve never had burgers that are THIS GOOD!
Ma friend Caroline had told me about Romer’s Burger Bar @ Kitsilano and finally we had a chance to try this weekend! I got excited already after checking out their website – “Beyond the Ordinary”. The burger bar is a creation of Executive Chef Jim Romer. It’s their philosophy, in particular, that attracted me: Eat good food. Keep it fresh. Keep it simple. Be creative. Let seasons and farmers be our guide. Be good to the planet, and all who are on it. Laugh. Share. Do what you do best: with us, it’s burgers.
That aligns with ma philosophy too – Life can be very simple. Laugh more. Be happy. Eat good food! HAHAHA~ =D

Romer’s Burger Bar impressed me. Nice ambiance. It’s like a cross between a trendy diner and a pub. Love the colors too – the vibrant red, black and white leather bar stools and chairs. The bar is u-shaped – if you pay attention, there’s a hook under the bar beside each seat for us ladies to hang our purses on. Very thoughtful. =)

Then it’s the menu that impresses me. 14 different burgers to choose from, and they all come with garlic olives & pepperoncinis on the side. Buns are brioche buns. Fries can be ordered as sides. There’s The Ultimate Kobe Classic with Foie Gras Paté. MmmMmMmmm~ They use all-natural Heritage Farms range-fed Angus beef, natural Fraser Valley pork, turkey, free-range chicken or wild salmon — these are all the natural, fresh meats that I prefer on a daily basis. Oh and great beer selections too!

Da gents are busy deciding on which burgers to get! It took me 10 minutes!

DISCLAIMER: THE BURGERS AREN’T SMALL! I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE SMALL. MAYBE IT’S BECAUSE OF THE PICTURES? -_-” Or it’s probably because of the way the buns shape? They are HUGE buns man. I couldn’t even finished mine and I eat A LOT!!! =p We’ll put a penny beside it next time OK????

What do I think?
WOW! WOW! WOWOWOWOWOW!! Words or pictures just can’t justify how delicious our lunch was. Seriously! I know my Lumix GF1 takes wicked pictures, but I really can’t explain how happy we were afterwards. Bo D said the fries were the best in the world, and beau and I both think that Romber’s Burger Bar is the best burger joint in Vancouver!
The brioche buns were soooo soft, and the hint of its sweetness goes so well with all the ingredients in the burgers. We could taste all those wonderful flavours AND their passion in the burgers — they DO do what they do the best — BURGERS!!
Can’t wait to go back again and try them all! XD

gosh… it’ll take 6 of those burgers to fill my hunger.
Hahaha!! Probably the pictures eh? They aren’t small!!!
BABE ~ the poutine and the donuts ?
Haha didn’t try those.. Too full!! Next time for sure! =p
Thanks for the info
No problem! Hope it was helpful for ya~ Going there again soon! =D
Wooahh!! That bad!?? So they got worse and worse eh? The second time I went I already noticed it was not as good as the first time. I’m disappointed. Thanks for the note!!
