Woot woot!  Beau and I had the honor to be invited to Gordie’s 50th surprised birthday bash @ the RiverRock Casino Resort [btw the website is quite ugly... =p].  Anyway!  We had a blast and I’m sure the lucky birthday boy did too!

So weeks ago, I got a top-secret email from Gord’s sweet wifey Trish and daughter Kacy documenting clearly this will be a SURPRISE! Gord, aka Gordo, 240 Gordy, Gumby, Cheapo, Big Man, Diddle, Gadget Gord, etc., thought his best friend was taking him to see the show Chicago at 7:30.  He was begging for some junk food on the way to the Casino while like 40 of us were waiting for him “patiently”.  I feel bad for his buddy who had to try so hard not to spoil the surprise.

Everything was set up all ready for Gordie!

Approaching 7:30, lights dimmed, people were quiet, and I was all ready to fulfill my duty as the camera-chick.

After several minutes that felt like hours, Gordie finally opened the door!!!!!
HAAAAPPPPYYY BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRTTHHHDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now look at the food!  For a buffet it was delicious!  We enjoyed them~

Beau’s plate ~ the pork tenderloin was tender, fish was yummy, and we really like the beets veggie plate.  Yumm~

Ma plate ~ crunchy lettuce, and I liked the crab salad too, though it’s imitation crab.  =p

The desserts were very well-made too.  Pretty looking, rich texture.  Nice!
As usual, Beau grabbed all the gooseberries for me. XD  I shared with Cat and Dom!  =p

& the resort also did a bit of decorating too.
