Easy breakfast + Granville Island
priss | July 1, 2010Happy Canada Day!
Happy stupid-HST-12%-tax-on-almost-everything day! Had a taste of it today. OUCH!
Nevertheless, I still had a great Canada Day. Went to Granville Island for the celebration followed-up by ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT ribs @ Montana! I feel like a pig now. *oink oink*~
We started off the day with home-made breakfast. Me such a good sis ’cause I also prepared one for him. =p Breakfast is the most important meal so THOU SHALT NOT skip breakfast. Your body needs fuel after a good night sleep, aka hours without food and water, in order to function properly throughout the day.
Eggs, European back bacon, toast, & organic strawberries, along with orange juice = yum yum yummmmm~

@ Granville Island, waiting for the parade to start~

The parade finally started, but this year it was kinda lame. Too short, not much to see… bleh~
The most exciting thing was probably the Lion Dance. But being Chinese, I don’t think of it as too special…. bleh~

& then, something brought my mood up again — a guy was walking his cat. A CAT!!! & it’s the same breed as my friend Gord’s. Her fur was soooooo soft. Too CUTE! But it seemed like the cat was walking the guy though. Hahaha!

They must have dressed up Granville Island a little bit for Canada Day. Beautiful flowers are everywhere~

Finally, we found the booth to tattoo the Canadian flag on ourselves.

The market place was filled with talented artists showcasing their work.
Statues made out of cloths, strings, t-shirts!

Woah, hard to believe these once belonged to a tree trunk!

Saw this cuteness-overloaded furry ball @ the Vancouver Orphan Kitten rescue.
I wish I had the time to foster a kitten. =( They don’t recommend you to adopt if you always travel around.

The Lobster Man was selling steamed lobster. It was so hard for me to resist!! Haha need to save room for Montana ribs tonight!

I have no doubt that someone out there specifically designed these for me! XD

As we were walking to the public market, we bumped into them again!!!!
Told ya it was the cat that was walking the guy. =p

Look how lucky we are in Vancouver? Fresh ingredients every where!!!!
You’d be darn silly to say NO to live in the most livable city on earth!!! =p

Some day, one of these will be mine~

I treated beau and bo D ALL YOU CAN EAT ribs @ Montana. Hahha.. all of us now says — enough rib for a year! XD

After ribs, we were soooo full. -_-” Glad we did a little walk. Ahhh… ribs overloaded. -_-”

It was indeed a very fun day. Wish the weather could be hotter though! We had to wear jackets!!
