Anniversary eat/play/shop/have fun Seattle trip continues…
After the Savor Seattle Food Tour, it started to pour. It was so chilly and I brought all the wrong clothes! Vancouver was nice and warm that weekend! It was raining cats and dogs and we had to stop by a theatre on our way back to the hotel.

ahh… guess I was still a happy camper. o^_^o

Yea, spending time with your loved ones… who care if it’s pouring or lightning eh?
We were quite full after the food tour and had asked the tour guide for recommendation on a place to chill around 9/10pm. He recommended Coastal Kitchen in culturally diverse Capitol Hill District. What’s funky about Coastal Kitchen is that they completely redo their decor and menu every 3/4 months and showcase a cuisine from a particular city. We were decked out thinking it was a fine dining, only that it turned out to be a diner. Hahahha! Cool! I’ve been to a ghetto diner during business trips to the States, but Beau had never been to one! Just glad that Coastal Kitchen is a great diner and gave Beau an awesome diner experience as a diner-noobie. =p
It was New Orleans while we were there. We definitely enjoyed the 3 bucks appies and beer!
A classic decor in a diner isn’t it?

Again, told ya I know how to make Beau huppy~

Calamari with sliced lemon, scallions & herbs. Served with roasted red pepper aioli.

I must say that it was probably the best calamari I’ve ever had. Loved the kick from the pepper!

Jamabalaya Pooya-ee!!!! SOooo spicy… SooOOooo Goooooood with spicy tasso, spicy andouille, mussels & clams (not so spicy).

What a great time!!!
So before we said we were gonna go to Seattle to celebrate our 1 year, Beau already said he’d GO to the States to try the Double Down from KFC since it’s only available in the States (hmmm… I wonder why, and THANKS for not making it available in Canada!). Just the amount of sodium, fat, calories… one of ma friends called it “Double Bypass”. XD
We got a Double Down — packed with FAT cheese, FAT bacons, FAT oil, FAT everything at the middle of two pieces of FAT chicken resembling somewhat the shape of an heart.

“MmmMMMmmm SOOO GOOD,” said Beau after the first bite. -_-”

I took a bite, and it wasn’t that bad actually…
But after Beau finished it, he seriously looked like he was gonna puke! ”I have enough KFC for the year.” MAWUAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHWHawhwhawhwhaH!!!!
Well, I’m very delighted to hear that! =p
