Happy Hour @ Griffins: Fairmont Hotel Vancouver
priss | June 27, 2010Griffins… Heard of the name for so many times yet never had a chance to go. Guess what, they are celebrating their 18th anniversary with a 50% savings on all dinner menu items from appetizers, mains and desserts between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm daily, until end of September. DAILY! That includes weekends!!! I’d suggest you to book at least 3 days ahead for a weekday and 1-2 weeks ahead for a weekend!
We managed to squeeze ourselves to a 4:30pm slot on a Saturday. MmmMmmmm~ We loved it!

The restaurant reminds me of a classy diner.

You know… when it comes to fuud, I look very… very serious! =p

The bread were delicious to start of. We tried hard not to get full from them!

I decided to go with the appetizer buffet –> SEAFOOD!!!!!

All kinds of salads, smoke salmon, shrimps, mussels, crabs, + roasted garlic… MmmMMmmmMMMmm~~~

I was in heaven!!! XD

It also came with seafood chowder. Look at the load of seafood in there!

Beau got the Canadian AAA beef tenderloin. The first time around they over cooked it, but they quickly made him another one medium rare. Beau said it was very… very yummy. ”As delicious as Gotham”, he said. For real???

The chefs @ Griffins are quite nice. So they probably saw me going back there soooo frequently and started making conversations. One of them asked what my favorite was. ”The clams!” The spicy sauce got soaked into the meat so well and I love the kick to it! He peeked over at the clams and mussels and said “I’ll get you more.” Hee heeeeeee~~~ He then brought out this huge pan of clams and mussels, and I turned into this little gal in her candyland. =p
5 plates of ma delicious seafood later…. I seriously doubt restaurants with seafood buffets would like me!

Dessert time! & what I like about Griffins is that the dessert buffet is included with almost every entrée!

Too bad I only like dark chocolates! Or else I’d totally enjoy the desserts. I bet a few of ma gal friends would love them! =p
Beau was also sooo full so we just grabbed some little desserts and fruits.
Crème brulée

Rice pudding ~ the only reason I grabbed it is because of the gooseberry~ Beau then said I should have just pick them all out so people wouldn’t know there was supposed to be a gooseberry on it. Oh my! =p

Tanks beau~ =p

How much you paid for all that food?
Hi Tappy,
Griffins had their 18th anniversary with 50% off on all dinner items. For all that food we paid around $60 total. Excellent deal, but the promotion has ended already~
