Please help people in Haiti~
priss | January 17, 2010My good friend Teunis Schouten went down to Haiti in 2006 with his pals in his church to help build houses (or should I say shelters) in the community. The area was just like paradise with white sand, blue sky and beautiful ocean, yet poverty was simply beyond your imagination. Life’s simple over there. People would be satisfied if they have food or a place to live. When Teunis and his pals were throwing candies and toys to the kids, their smiles would melt your heart. When he let me share those beautiful photos on my site to show the world 4 years ago, I still remember I said to myself –> life can really be simple and satisfying… be happy.
Yet whoever up there probably picked the wrong place to play a joke on. Right now, I just hope that they’d find more survivors and people in Haiti can rebuild their lives.
Please donate. Even a little bit would make a difference. Please help bring back the smiles on them…
I’ve received the following email from Teunis and wanna share with all of you.

We all know about the devastation which hit Haiti this week, many of you may wonder what you can do, or how you can help. The last couple of day I’ve been waiting to hear back from my friend who lives down there, trying to make a difference one day at a time in country where hopes have faded, and poverty is beyond believe. I’m thankful to hear she is alive, which is a big relief.
Rebecca Larkin and I traveled with a group down to Haiti in 2006 and stayed at the very location described in this afternoon’s article in the Province.
I know there will be many ways to donate to this disaster, but am compelled to encourage you make a donation to Heart To Heart. I’ve personally seen the difference this organization makes in Grand Goave, Haiti with compassion for the people at this Children’s home and neighboring communities.
To donate, visit Heart To Heart
Thank you.
Teunis
